All Mishnah Jr. (AMJ) – Terms and Conditions for Participation

1. Program Mission

All Mishnah Jr. (AMJ) is designed to incentivize middle-school students to engage in Mishnah learning during their free time. The goal is to make Torah study fun, accessible, and appealing to students who may not have otherwise participated in voluntary learning.

2. Program Overview

  • AMJ consists of a daily commitment to learn two mishnayot a day, Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to catch up on weekends.
  • The program runs from a few weeks after Succot until Pesach.
  • This year’s learning includes Masechtot: Megillah, Sanhedrin, Tamid, and Beitzah.
  • Participants may learn their Mishnayot however they’d like. AMJ also provides three learning methods students can choose from:
    • A daily email sent in the morning to students’ personal and school email addresses with a Mishnah reminder and link to a shiur.
    • A daily evening WhatsApp Community message with the same link.
    • Custom Artscroll Pocket Mishnayos provided at the start of the program, corresponding to the year’s curriculum.

3. Eligibility

  • All Mishnah Jr. open to both boys and girls in middle school, and 5th graders are allowed to participate on a select basis.
  • Students must register to participate in the AMJ, and each registrant will receive a free piece of AMJ swag from the school upon registering.

4. Accountability and Progress Tracking

  • At the end of each week, students are required to log their completed learning on the AMJ website to participate in the weekly raffles.
  • The deadline for students to log their learning is the following Monday at 10:00AM.

5. Raffles, and Prizes, and Incentives

  • Weekly Raffle:
    • Students who log their learning for the week will be entered into a raffle to win one of up to four $20 Amazon gift cards per school per week
    • Raffles are contingent on sufficient participation from the school.
    • Students who correctly answer the weekly bonus question will have their name entered into the raffle a second time for an increased chance to win
    • School coordinators should run these raffles publicly at their schools. If they don’t, we reserve the right to randomly select winners.
    • The Decision of the AMJ raffle winners is Final.
  • Special Prizes:
    • Students who complete the first Masechta (Megillah) will receive a custom AMJ hoodie.
    • Each time a student completes a Masechta, they will be entered into a special one-time raffle for grand prizes, which may include items such as AirPods, hoverboards, and other valuable rewards.
    • If certain thresholds of a school learn the first week’s mishnayot, then the school will qualify for one-time special raffles.
    • AMJ and the Orthodox Union expressly disclaim any liability related to the prizes.   AMJ and the Orthodox Union are not responsible for the performance or safety of any of the prizes.  You understand and agree that you assume the risk of using the prizes.
