Official Rules for the All Mishnah Jr. Weekly Drawing 

  1. No Purchase Necessary

Participation in the All Mishnah Jr.(“AMJ”) Drawing (the “Drawing”) does not require any purchase. All eligible Participants may enter without payment or purchase of any kind. 

The Drawing is sponsored by AMJ a project of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America (the “Orthodox Union”), a non-profit organization, having an address at 40 Rector Street, 4th floor, New York, NY 10006 (the “Sponsor”).

  1. 2. Eligibility

The Drawing is open to students enrolled in participating schools (“Participants”). Parental or legal guardian consent is required to enter and participate in the Drawing.   

 

  1. Program Overview

AMJ consists of a daily commitment to learn two Mishnayot a day, Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to catch up on weekends. The program runs from a few weeks after Succot until Pesach. This year’s learning includes Masechtot: Megillah, Sanhedrin, Tamid, and Beitzah. 

 

  1. 4. Accountability and Progress Tracking

At the end of each week, Participants are required to log their completed learning on the AMJ website to participate in the weekly Drawing.  The deadline for Participants to log their learning is the following Monday at 10:00 AM EST. 

 

  1. 5. How to Enter

Eligible Participants must meet specific requirements as determined by their school to qualify for entry. These requirements will be communicated through the participating schools. All entries must be submitted according to the instructions provided by the school by the specified deadline subject to the terms and conditions of these Official Rules. 

  1. 6. Prize Description and Value

The prize(s) are described in official communications shared by participating schools and All Mishnah Jr. The approximate retail value (ARV) of the prize is $20 and the grand prize(s) value ranges from $60-$250.   

Each Drawing is contingent on sufficient participation from participating schools. 

Students who correctly answer the weekly bonus question will have their name entered into the Drawing a second time for an increased chance to win. 

School coordinators shall run the Drawings publicly at their respective schools. If they fail to run the Drawing publicly, AMJ reserves the right to randomly select winners at its sole discretion.  

 

The Decision of the AMJ Drawing winners is final and binding.   

AMJ and the Orthodox Union expressly disclaim any liability related to the prizes. AMJ and the Orthodox Union are not responsible for the performance or safety of any of the prizes. You understand and agree that you assume any risk associated with using the prizes. 

  1. 7. Winner Selection and Notification

Winners will be selected by each participating school through a random drawing from all eligible entries. The drawing will occur weekly, and winners will be notified via email to the Participant’s parent/legal guardian’s email address provided.  Parental or guardian consent shall be confirmed prior to awarding any prize. The winner must fill out the “Redeem Your Prize” form at Redeem Your Prize – All Mishnah Jr to claim their prize. Any Participant who was not selected as the winner, but fills out the form regardless, shall be disqualified from any future drawings, subject to the sole discretion of Sponsor.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

  1. 10. Governing Law

The Drawing and these Official Rules are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York. 

  1. 11. CONDITIONS

The Drawing is subject to these Official Rules. By participating, Participants and their parent/legal guardian agree: (i) to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Drawing or these Official Rules, except where prohibited by law. 

By participating in the Drawing, Participants and their parent/legal guardian agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its related entities together with their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent companies, directors, employees, officers, licensees, licensors and agents of each, including without limitation, their respective advertising and promotion entities and any person or entity associated with the production, judging, or administration of the Drawing, (the “Indemnified Parties”) from any and all liability, loss or damage arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of prize, participation in Drawing and/or any prize-related activities, except where restricted by law.  

The Drawing is void where prohibited or restricted by law, and subject to applicable federal, state and local laws.  

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Participant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Drawing or violating these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to terminate the Drawing and, if terminated, at its discretion, Sponsor may select the potential winners in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to action taken. 

Any and all disputes regarding these Official Rules and/or the Drawing shall be determined by binding arbitration before the Bais Din Maysharim, Lakewood, New Jersey, Orthodox Beit Din. The ruling and award of such Orthodox Beit Din will be a final, binding, non-appealable, and legally enforceable decision. 

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE DRAWING MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE DRAWING. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. 

  1. 12. PUBLICITY

By submitting an entry, Participants and their parent/legal guardian agree that the Sponsor has the right to use Participant’s name, photographs, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, city and state address and/or prize information for publicity, promotional or advertising purposes on a worldwide basis, and in all forms of media, now or hereafter known, in perpetuity, without review, permission or further compensation unless prohibited by law. Participants and their parent/legal guardian also release Sponsor from any liability related to the above. 

  1. 13. PRIVACY

All personal information collected by Sponsor will be used for the administration of the Drawing. In addition, Participant’s parent/legal guardian may receive email correspondence from, or on behalf of the Sponsor, subject to the Sponsor’s privacy policy. Sponsor uses reasonable commercial efforts to comply with federal CAN-SPAM guidelines, and Participant’s parent/legal guardian may subsequently opt-out of receiving further emails by following the opt-out instructions contained in the email.
